Welcome to The New Nursery!

The New Nursery was off to a great start in 1977 with a mission to supply the landscape trade with "New, Cutting Edge" plant material for Houston landscapers. "New" in 1977 meant we were the 1st wholesale nursery to bring in plants all the way from California. Those plants, once edgey and unique are reliable standards today.

Every year we add to our inventory the latest found exotic tropicals, Texas natives and never before seen specially bred patents.
In 1977 plants were sold from Tin Cans.

Now, even our Texas Bluebonnetts aren't always blue!

As time changes tastes, we replace the most popular of the must-have's. We're always in the never ending search for what's New to give our landscapers the cutting edge.

30 plus years later we look for plants and find white coats in sterile tissue culture labs creating New cultivars with genetic engineering.

And don't forget the true plant pioneers (Who's legacy we thankfully owe!) searching far lands for undiscovered species. These pioneers, searching from as far away as Asia, to the Canyons of Mexico and even as close as the East Texas Pineywoods, The New Nursery wants to share with you our continued search to keep you one step ahead. Along the way, true plantsmen share bits of knowledge with each other. That's our mission here.....so here we go!

By the way, if you're first to send a picture of the old way we used "plants in cans" we will give a $100 gift certificate to your registered landscaper at any of our 4 locations below:
